STATION INFORMATION:
1. The parts of the horse station will use a different picture which can be found in the 4-H Horse Judging Guide on page 2. It has a few different names/parts then the previous year’s diagram of the horse.
2. The western saddle and English saddle will be the same as years past.
3. Review page 4 of the Horse Judging Guide.
4. Know where the pressure points are. Can be found on page 31 of Horse and Horsemanship
5. Review gaits of the horse and leads pages 17-19 Horse and Horsemanship
6. Review the hoof and foot anatomy page 48 and49 Horse and Horsemanship
7. Review vision of the horse in the Horse Science book page 4.
Cloverbuds will only need to know 5 parts of the horse (of their choosing) and a couple of parts of the saddle’s.
